Hostel Operators Wanted

Are you interested in running a small hostel but you don't have the capital to buy your own building? Here is an opportunity to RENT a home hostel situated in a rural area 45 minutes west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wisconsin Council, HI-USA seeks independent contractor(s) to live in and operate this eight (8) bed home hostel. The hostel, which is an historic farmhouse, is on State Forest land.

Home hostel operator responsibilities include:

  • Managing reservations
  • Housekeeping
  • Bookkeeping
  • Groundskeeping
  • Marketing
  • Maintaining all necessary state and national licensing

As an operator you will be affiliated with Hostelling International, an internationally recognized network of hostels which attracts visitors from around the world. Guests prepare their own meals in the house's kitchen, but look to the operators to welcome them to the area and ensure a pleasant stay. Income received is kept by the operators.

Three bedrooms for guests, one large private sitting/bedroom for manager, two bathrooms.
