What a privilege to be here on the planet to contribute your unique donation to humankind. Each face in the rainbow of colors that populate our world is precious and special.? - Morris Dees

As we approach the 10 year anniversary of the Madison Hostel, the quote above has a double meaning to me. Hostelling International - Wisconsin enhances cross-cultural understanding in our community and around the world, in part, by the diversity that exists in all of us.

However, these intrinsic qualities can't sustain any non-profit organization. Thus, as we celebrate a major milestone, with Madison's only International hostel celebrating its 10th anniversary, we ask for your financial support.

There are so many celebrated causes and organizations that champion the betterment of our communities that its easy to forget about an organization that works to achieve World Peace, one community at a time. I thank you in advance for your contribution to our organization and supporting the programs we provide throughout Wisconsin!

Thoughts from Our Board Members
Volunteer Image from HI-USA

Wendy Beranek: I volunteer my time [on Hostelling International - Wisconsin's Board of Directors] because I feel strongly about giving back to our community. The other volunteers and staff are a fun and interesting group of people. I believe in Hostelling International's mission and enjoy the [cultural & educational] programs with local children.

Mitch Weber: I volunteer my time to HI-Wisconsin and the Madison Hostel because of the people and the mission. It's a great place to learn about other cultures and countries that I might never get a chance to visit.

Jacquelyn Jacobs: When I was an undergraduate, I worked at the Madison Hostel. I learned to love the organization and the people who are involved with the group. Now, I volunteer as a member of the Board of Directors. I enjoy staying involved with the organization that I love and it makes me feel good to help our organization grow.
